SEATED DIAPHRAGMATIC BREATHING

  • Sitting on the physio ball or chair, stack your ribcage over your pelvis.

  • Inhale and allow your ribcage to open 360 degrees like an umbrella opening.

  • You should feel your abdominals gently expanding and pelvic floor lengthening as well.

  • Exhale and allow those tissues to recoil back to the starting position.

  • Make this breath easy - try not to push or force breath but “guide” it into your ribcage vs neck.

  • Pay attention to letting the pelvic floor lengthening and gently expand on the inhale.
